Walter Cronkite the Family Man

Despite being such a public person, beamed into millions of homes every night, Walter Cronkite kept a private and personal life unlike that seen by many Hollywood socialites.

Walter Cronkite was married for nearly 65 to Betsy Cronkite. They remained together until March 16, 2005, when she died.

Walter and Besty had three children: Nancy, Kathy, and Walter (Chip) Cronkite III. Walter Cronkite also has four grandchildren.

Television was not the only screen Walter Cronkite was seen on.

He appeared in the documentary The American Ruling Classapham.

Walter Cronkite also appeared in, Thirteen Days, reporting on the Cuban missile crisis.

He also gave an opening synopsis in the movie Apollo 13 about the American Space Program

Finally, Cronkite did the voice for Captain NewEyes in the movie We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story.
